Android market continues to grow by leap and bounds. The Google OS app distribution service now has 50,000+ titles in its list, half of which are free.
The Android market added 9,000 new apps in its kitty, in the month of March alone. Google OS, which has been in the market for the last year and a half now, has a total app count of around 50,395 apps. The Android market still has a long way to go, when compared with the volume of Apple App Store, but the competition is getting tougher. The good news is that despite the rise in the total number of apps, nearly 60 percent of them are free.
