Foursquare, a location based social network has now crossed the milestone of one million registered users. Foursquare has been rapidly gaining users since its SXSW conference in March during which, 120,000 users signed up in ten days. However, the company is yet to acknowledge the fact, officially.
Foursquare is equipped technologically to keep up with such great sign up rates and even expand upon them. They even have 40,000 check-ins a day, during peak times. It took Foursquare a little over a year to have one million users. Foursquare is expected to see even higher growth path in the coming years, in the line of Facebook and Twitter.
