Drupal Is Now Being Endorsed By the White House Website

Drupal, the open-source software, has got a high-profile endorsement from the White House. White House uses Drupal for managing and publishing its content through its official Website, WhiteHouse.gov. It has released some customized Drupal codes and four new modules.
‘Context HTTP Headers’ is one such module designed to improve scalability and allows content owners to add metadata to their content. It can also instruct servers on how to manage specific pages. ‘Akamai’ is another module focusing on scalability and enables WhiteHouse.gov for integration of content with content delivery network of Akamai technologies. ‘GovDelivery Integration’ is a communication module which allows customizing emails according to user’s preferences. An accessibility module named ‘Node embed’ has been provided for better management of images and videos of WhiteHouse.gov.
