Now third-party cloud-based apps can supplement Google’s internal online apps. With 50 vendors including Zoho, NetSuite, Skytap, and Atlassian participating in this program a new level of business-to-business marketing seems to have materialized. Google has crossed the 25 million-user mark, having started out offering online applications 5 years ago. Google applications are used by more than 2 million businesses. The company says that from the Google Apps Market sales, 80% revenue will be passed on to participating partners while 20% will go to Google. Apple App Store for iPhone apps will need to look out for some competition.
