The mobile apps market is becoming a profitable source of income for developers, according to a report by In-Stat. However, it has now become difficult for companies to make a profit, owing to competition.
Mobile subscribers are increasingly using their smartphones to download apps. Apple’s iPhone and iTouch are at the top of the list with its users downloading apps 2.4 times more than other smartphone users. But due to increased competition, many companies are being forced to reduce the price of their apps, in order to make a profit. Free apps are the most popular apps being downloaded, making costly apps leave the market.
