Video Marketing

A picture is worth a thousand words. True, but a video is worth a thousand more. With 70% of marketers reporting that video leads to more conversion than any other medium, video marketing is definitely here to stay! Time crunch and short attention span of web users are key reasons why videos engage at least half of the mobile traffic, and have a definite advantage over text in the digital space.

When it comes to digital marketing, YouTube still rules, with more than 4 billion views every day. With more than 60% of the top brands embedding YouTube videos on their websites, this comes as little surprise. However, as recent trends reveal, video marketing is no longer just about YouTube. There are quite a few new video marketing channels that are all set to give YouTube a tough competition. Here’s a sneak peek!

Instagram: Bottom-line of present day content marketing – short is sweet! Instagram’s 15 second videos are in sync with this bottom-line. Features like filters, and Hyperlapse (lets you shoot time-lapse videos in motion) are reasons why Instagram has more than 300 million monthly active users, and is the third fastest growing social network.

Vine: With 5 Vines being shared every second on Twitter, several leading brands like Samsung and Oreo are tapping its marketing potential. Since the time limit is just 6 seconds, the trick to creating an engaging Vine is to not cram in too much info. You can also use features like the Stop-motion tool to throw in some cool effects!

Facebook: With Facebook being the second largest video referral source and having more than 500 million active users, it is the place to be for every video marketer. Facebook lets you pin videos at the top of your business page and 20 minutes is the video duration limit – advantages that you can work to your benefit.

At the end of the day, the trick is to explore all channels, and find out which one works the best for you!
