Mobile Apps tracker, Flurry has revealed that 20% of the companies building iPhone applications started business especially for the iPhone platform. Flurry says 35,000 unique companies have released applications since the launch of the App Store. 20% of that is 7,000 companies who have decided to take a chance on the App Store.
While the App Store has helped many small developers, with the entry of established companies could push these independent developers to the sides. 80% of iPhone, iPod Touch and Android mobile devices have an app monitored by Flurry.
