The potential of mobile app development in India has caught the eye of Research In Motion (RIM) and they have initiated interaction with the growing community of developers in India. “BlackBerry Developer Day” was a one day event that had been organized with SiliconIndia. Developers were informed about the lucrative opportunities BlackBerry app development holds for them and how they should get started.
Anne Matthew, India Head of Alliances, RIM said that recently India has crossed the mark of 500 million wireless subscribers. She also said that the BlackBerry platform holds a large scope for app development and deployment for both the local and global marketplace.
