Shorthand Mobile launched TextApps, which delivers content from websites through SMS. Designed for non-smartphones, this application provides access to web content in a rich, interactive interface for those users who have no data plans.
Available in select phones only, the app can be downloaded and used to get the content required which will be delivered to the message inbox. Apps included are Facebook Mobile, Twitter, City Search, Yelp and The New York Times. Shorthand will offer localized TextApps in India where it is already available and in Brazil where it will be launched shortly.
