Despite producing WebOS, a new OS and two new WebOS devices, the Palm Pre and Pixi, Palm’s sales have declined by 29 %, when compared to last year. The company has blamed the poor sales of its products on marketing. Critics feel that Palm should get back in the smartphone game by improving its current handsets.
Palm needs a driving force that will push the design team to create remarkable products. Also, it is the lack of apps that are killing Palm. While there are thousands of apps for the iPhone and Google Android devices, Palm is lagging behind. Palm must act quickly if it wishes to retain its loyal consumers.
