Verizon and Skype announced that the Skype Mobile app for Verizon will be launched tomorrow, on the 25th of March. It has been disclosed that initially Skype mobile for Verizon will work on nine handsets including the BlackBerry Storm, BlackBerry Curve, BlackBerry Tour, Motorola Droid, and Motorola Devour.
Users can look forward to getting free and unlimited Skype-to-Skype calls, as well as instant messaging. The application will automatically import the contacts in your phone book, it will always be ‘on’ and run in the background. John Harrobin, the Senior Vice President of Digital Media and Marketing , Verizon Wireless, said that customers can expect the same reliability and coverage quality from Skype Mobile as they received from Verizon.
